Good Friday Labyrinth

Fairlawn-West United Church of Christ invites the community to the indoor labyrinth walk on Good Friday, April 14th.  The labyrinth will be in the Fellowship Hall from noon to 7:00 pm.

The Fairlawn-West labyrinth is based on the style of the historic labyrinth at Chartres Cathedral in France.  A labyrinth walk offers the individual a time of prayer to deepen their relationship with God.  The person may be seeking to find clearness in their life, share in simple prayer conversation with God, or enter deeper into the mystery of God.

There will be people available at the Fairlawn-West labyrinth to introduce and guide those who are new to the labyrinth experience.

At 7:30 pm the church will have its Good Friday service of Tenebrae or "the shadows" in the sanctuary.

Fairlawn-West Church is at 2095 West Market Street in west Akron, next to the park with the Chief Rotaynah carving and in front of the new Judith A. Resnick Community Learning Center, the former Fairlawn Elementary School.  For more information you can call the church office at 330-864-2179 or visit the web site at fairlawnwest.org.
