*We will be hosting the Open Door Coffeehouse in the sanctuary featuring national singer Shawn Thomas on Saturday, September 1 starting at 6:30 pm.  There will also be a portion of the evening with open microphone for others of you to share some music or poetry.
 
*Transgender Support Group meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm in the Parlor.  It is led by Jake Nash.

*Family Promise We are hosting families the week of September 2nd.  We will have a potluck supper the evening of Sunday the 2nd at 6:00 pm.  We will need folks to help drive the Family Promise van in mornings and evenings, to stay overnight the 2nd and the  8th. Please contact Susan Kolarick as soon as possible if you can help healinghands54@sbcglobal.net or 330-813-1965.
More Family Promise2nd Annual Box City, Saturday, October 6th at Bath UCC.  This is a fundraiser where you sleep out in a box and get pledges.
*And even more Family Promise 100 Holes for the Homeless, Monday, September 24 at St. Bernard Golf Club.  Another fundraiser for FP.  Golfers get pledges for the number of holes they play that day up to 100.  For more info go tohttp://familypromisesc.org/events/2012-100-holes-golf-marathon-september-24/
 
*Missionworks!  October 25-28 at the UCC national offices in Cleveland.  Our mission partners from around the world will meet with those gathered to talk about their specific settings and the overall reality of serving Christ in the world.  For more info to to http://globalministries.org/calendar/missionworks-2012.html

*The Fairlawn West Preschool  begins the school year on Wednesday, September 5th.  Enrollment continues to increase.  A new part of the weekly schedule is a worship time in the parlor on Wednesday mornings.  Our staff is Janet Black & Pam Stanely Co-Directors, and Pam, Megan Gossett and Nicole Graydos teachers.  We will celebrate the preschool in worship on Sunday, September 23rd. 

*The Rev. David Loar is at the Nervous Dog Coffee Bar, 1520 W Market Street on Fri from 1:30-4:00 pm for conversation. He can be reached at 330-760-7169 deloar@yahoo.com to schedule other times for conversation.
 
*Bible Reading & Reflection, Thursdays 9:30 am in the Vista Room led by David Loar. The Thursday at 6:30 pm group will reconvene on September 6th in the Parlor.
